Welcome to Morehouse School of Medicine's Cardiovascular Research Institute

Core Research Facilities

The CVRI is over 7000 sq. ft. of research space in the Research Wing (basic science laboratories), Multi-disciplinary Research Center (space adjacent to the Clinical Research Center) and the National Center for Primary Care building (population science). MSM has enjoyed success in obtaining major shared instrument grants from both the NIH and NSF, and has consolidated these resources within institutional Core Facilities that are accessible to all MSM researchers on a fee-for-service basis.

Research Core Facility

Morehouse School of Medicine has opened a newly designed biomedical research technology core facility, available to internal investigators and external collaborators. Morehouse School of Medicine’s facility renovations were sponsored by a $10 million grant investment from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, part of the National Institutes of Health. The newly renovated state-of-the-art research facility continues a master plan to improve Morehouse School of Medicine’s research infrastructure. The new design allows MSM to optimize its use of space for equipment, drives cross-disciplinary scientific exchange, and promotes a collaborative environment.
